Rosé Mansion, the hot Instagram play place of summer 2019. It’s back and I’m telling you if it is really worth your money and time to go.

The Basics

Let’s start with the basics. Tickets, they are $45 for each person, but if you go early on a weekday the price is only $35. It takes around 20 to 30 minutes to go through the whole place and each group leaves every half hour. They do have a coat check which is amazing and necessary for me, the self-proclaimed bag lady. They also do have restrooms before and after the experience if you need to go or put on a special outfit just for the Rosé Mansion.

The Wine

As much as this is an Instagram experience this is also a wine tasting of sorts. They give you a cute plastic wine cup to bring with you through the whole experience. The great thing is you get to keep it at the end if you are looking for a cheap souvenir. Almost every room if not all give you a small tasting of wine. Honestly, I would have expected more wine per tasting but it’s nice you get to try so many different kinds. They had sweet to dry, to still, and sparkling according to whatever room you were in. My favorite wine I tried was the Olé & Obrigado Liquid Geography Rosé.

What I Liked

I liked how each room was differently themed and interactive. Also, they had lot’s of wine facts around each space if you were interested in learning more about wine. Also, each server in each room told you about the wine you were going to drink and what things to look for when drinking the wine (like a normal wine tasting.) I also enjoyed how each room was designed, or incorporated different independent artists. Each room was so unique and almost everyone was amazing for photos. Some were not exactly my taste, but there is definitely something for everyone.

What I Didn’t Like

Honestly, for an Instagram experience, the lighting could have been better. Some rooms definitely had mood lighting for a reason which I totally get. But if you’re looking to get quality Instagram content in every single room it will be very difficult. Also adding to the difficulty almost everyone is trying to get pics for the gram in the same spots in each room. Some rooms have multiple photo opportunities but some only have one so it can be difficult. I would recommend going into the experience with patience and an open mind.

I also said I wish I had more wine in each tasting but that isn’t a deal breaker. At the end of the experience, they have a rosé bar where you can buy as much rosé as your heart desires. They also have a Taco Dumbo location where you can indulge in tacos, which is always a plus.

The Bottom Line

Rosé Mansion is a super fun experience to go to. If you’re in New York City for a trip this summer I would recommend going, or even if you’re a local yourself. However, I don’t think it’s worth skipping seeing a bigger attraction like the top of the rock, 9/11 memorial, or something like that for. It is a great rainy day activity which is something we get a lot of in New York City in the summer. Also, I think this could be an amazing group activity for a birthday, bachelorette, or even after work outting with some gal pals. If you’ve gone, or plan on going let me know in the comments how you liked it!
